SCHS Alum Earns Spot in National Teaching Program

San Clemente’s Tessa Mizokami has been accepted into Teach For America’s 2012 teaching corps. Mizokami is a 2008 graduate of San Clemente High School and recently received her bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz. She joins the organization’s 23rd incoming corps, which numbers a record 5,800 teachers. Mizokami will be teaching in the Bay Area this fall. She was selected from a candidate pool of more than 48,000 applicants.
