The Tritons girls tennis team breezed their way through the first round of the CIF-SS Girls Tennis Division 1 playoffs, defeating Brentwood 14-4 on the road.
The Tritons entered the tournament as the No. 3 seeded team out of the South Coast League, joining Tesoro and Dana Hills as the South Coast representatives. So far all three teams have advanced to the second round.
The Tritons will now host University, the No. 1 seed out of the Pacific Coast League. University swept their first round opponent, Flintridge Sacred Heart 18-0. The match is set to start at 2 p.m.
