Isaac DeMoss, a sophomore at San Clemente High School, was the youngest presenters at the American Public Health Association annual meeting in San Francisco October 30. His abstract, “Spring Training,” addressed special nutritional concerns and needs of adolescent boys. The program concentrates on communicating with boys in language they understand via interactive media with the goal of generating a desire to adopt healthy behavior. DeMoss is looking to promote the program nationally.
The APHA Annual Meeting and Exposition is the oldest and largest gathering of public health professionals in the world.
