The San Clemente boys soccer team began the season with a 3-1 nonleague victory at home over Corona del Mar on November 27.
The Tritons (1-0) scoring started early, when junior Dylan Struthers scored on a rebound goal off a corner kick in the 12th minute to give the Tritons a 1-0 lead.
Both teams tightened down on defense after Struthers’ goal until the San Clemente junior struck again in the 61st minute, this time on a distance shot from 15 yards out to get his second goal of the night and give the Tritons a commanding 2-0 lead.
San Clemente would add another goal, while allowing an extra-time goal to the Sea Kings.
