With regards to Elizabeth Capote’s comment stating that they are likely not going to be able to recover any monies – this is false.

If the insurance is in place, what needs to be done is to get replacement estimates written up by a jeweler who is experienced in this area.

I have over the years gotten many clients replacement estimates, even for antique items that were stolen, where the victims were feeling helplessly lost and without any way of getting compensation from their insurance.

I hope this information finds or is forwarded to this couple.
