Triton Baseball and San Clemente Little League Team Up for Free Clinics

In an effort to strengthen the bridge from San Clemente Little League to the high school level, Tritons head coach Dave Gellatly and little league president Sam Masotto have organized two free baseball clinics for children ages five to 14, to be held on January 26 and January 27.

Children ages five to nine are invited to come out to the San Clemente High baseball field on January 26 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The clinic for children ages 10 to 14 will be held on January 27 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The entire San Clemente baseball team will be on hand, taking charge of dozens of small groups to help the little leaguers work on throwing, fielding grounders and fly balls as well as sliding and base running technique.

“We’ve been trying to build a better relationship with the little league and the high school program,” Gellatly said. “(San Clemente Little League) is where a majority of the kids (in the Tritons program) come from and this is one of those things that can bring us all closer together.”

Little leaguers can register the day of the event and are urged to show up 15 minutes early with their baseball gear. For questions, email email hidden; JavaScript is required.
