Triton football players Landon Cook and Sam Hunter have committed to play Division 2 football for the University of Minnesota Crookston, according to head coach Jaime Ortiz.
Cook, a 5-foot-11 205 pound senior, played both sides of the ball for the Tritons in 2012. As a running back who was particularly good in short yardage situations, Cook carried the ball 38 times for 231 yards and scored four touchdowns.
Cook also played linebacker for the Tritons and recorded a team-high 64 total tackles.
Hunter (6-foot 250 pounds) committed to the Golden Eagles on January 23. Hunter held down the guard position for the Tritons offensive line.
