Overnight closures on Ortega Highway over Interstate 5 will be in effect Monday through Saturday to allow Caltrans construction crews to install temporary traffic signals.
The outside lanes on both eastbound and westbound Ortega Highway, between Del Obispo Street and Rancho Viejo Road, will be closed between 11 p.m. to 4 p.m., starting Monday until Saturday morning.
At least one lane of traffic on Ortega Highway will remain open, according to a map provided by Caltrans.
Construction crews will install temporary traffic signals on Ortega Highway, at all on- and off-ramps for northbound and southbound I-5.
Chain-link fencing surrounding the former Jack in the Box property, on Ortega Highway and Del Obispo Street, has been removed, but the area remains an active construction site, according to Caltrans. Construction crews will install new fencing.
