The San Onofre Community Engagement Panel will look at a study of the economic factors regarding the decommissioning of San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station at the quarterly meeting on Nov. 5 in Oceanside.
Southern California Edison public information officer Maureen Brown said representatives will provide an update on plans to decommission SONGS, which will include the proposed expansion of dry storage of used nuclear fuel at San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station.
The meeting is open to the public and takes place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the QLN Conference Center, 1938 Avenida Del Oro, Oceanside. Members of the public can speak for three minutes at a time during the comment portion of the meeting. Staffed information booths will be open from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. before the meeting. There will be a public comment period and the meeting will be live-streamed via www.songscommunity.com.
