Seems the guy was a good friend of Ryan and the family and look where that got Ryan.

Interesting how people seem to be blaming the wife and even some having the audacity to to say that she is 100% responsible? Am I the only one who believes people are still responsible for their own actions? Seems pretty black and white. Unless it comes out that she was running the business and making the transactions you probably should stop living reality in the grey.

You wouldn't understand unless you knew and/or met her. There are no personal vendettas. Ultimately, she is 100% responsible and obviously we all have a common denominator at that point!!

I don’t know the details, but I know Matthew would not have done this if it wasn’t for Janelle nagging him. She is never at home with her kids and is only concerned for her own wellbeing. I have known her for years and there is nothing good about her. I feel horrible that it had to end up like this for her husband.

There seems to be some sort of vendetta against Matt’s wife. Is she the one that pushed transfer?

All we can hope for at this point is when all is said and done Matt will finally realize that d-i-v-o-r-c-e is not such a bad word from a woman like her. It sickens me to think that Matt may have to miss up to 6 years of his childrens lives growing-up for such a callous woman. This is completely out of character for Matt and he risked himself just to make her happy. I am sure her land will be seized in Costa Rica to repay the funds so hopefully she can't escape.

Matt is a prime example of where being a people pleaser gets you.

I really hope there is some way that Janelle can get prosecuted for these crimes. I think anyone who is aware of the situation knows she is the one at fault. Maybe she should sell her ground in Costa Rica and give that money to the Ryan. She is a delusional excuse for a wife and mother. All she cares about is herself!

Matt is a great guy!!! Many, many people agree with Mary that his wife, Janelle, made him to do this as she is a greedy witch who proclaims herself to be a devout Mormon. I hope Janelle has to serve time in prison since poor Matt transferred the money into her account. Wake-up Janelle Mercuro .. you are not the princess that you pretend to be !! I feel sorry for your children.

I know Matt, he is a great guy, but that is no excuse to steal from anyone! He deserves what he gets. I think the real person that needs to be in the slammer is his wife; she is a selfish, greedy, slave driving, witch.

I don't know Ryan personally, but have watched him skate in my driveway and know he shreds. The kid deserves what he has earned, and deserves an accountant that is not a criminal.

what ever grandpa and jealous. dont start to hold up your white signs up on a corner when the future is wasted on potheads, since you seem to defend them, when they take over and run your hard earned money into politics. we need our kids to stay away from drugs not defend them and give them an excuse. and no i am not jealous. i have everything i can want plus more. I work full time take care of my home and teach my kids what is right and wrong so they dont pull any of this sh## and steal plus I make time to thank those and help those that need help so what am i jealous about i am happy and content and i thank god for what he has given me everyday.

First of all I would like to ask what ever happened to innocent until proven guilty?

Second, I know Matt, he is a wonderful person, and if he did do this, which I highly doubt, but if he did it would not have been out of greed. He is a hard working man and has always been able to take care of his family, while also volunteering his time to help out others.

Not having ever met Ryan Sheckler personally. I am a fan of skateboarding and know one can deny that he is one of the best skatebosrds of today. Ryan has worked hard to be what he is in this profession. He deserves all of what he has.
I believe anyone that takes something that does not belong to them should be held accountable.
We are proud to have Ryan be a part of this community.

Sounds like Matthew had a hard time watching a teenage wrack in millions while he was a just another schmuck behind a desk in his 30s, counting Ryan's money.

Happens all the time. Matthew figured Ryan was too busy skateboarding to notice. But Matthew was not smart enough to figure out that banks do notice sketchy transactions.

Ryan can be a bit cocky & he's made millions but he has also given up a normal childhood and a normal life in exchange.
