Still No Charges in July 4 Hit-and-Run

By Jim Shilander

The Orange County District Attorney’s office has not yet filed charges in the July 4 accident that killed Marthann Demchuk, 76-year-old woman from Monrovia near the corner of Camino Capistrano and Pacific Coast Highway.

Orange County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Lt. Jeff Hallock said the department had given the case to the DA’s office for filing, but no charge had yet been made.

A Dana Point woman was arrested in the immediate aftermath of the incident but was not charged.
