On Saturday, November 6, the San Clemente Community Center will overflow with music and comedy in what is billed as “A Shower of Stars.” As a benefit for San Clemente Military Family Outreach (SCMFO), don’t miss this gathering with performances by top professionals and several fresh-faced stars of tomorrow. One of the brightest of those appearing in this Military Family Outreach fundraiser is the nationally known Phil Jeffrey, a singer with solid credentials performing on television and Broadway (Jesus Christ Superstar), as well as experience as a nightclub headliner. Jeffrey will put his Sinatra song styling on the line to benefit the San Clemente Military Family Outreach and help fund Thanksgiving dinners for more than 1,200 north Camp Pendleton families.
Comedy headliner for the event is Wayne Cotter, a regular guest on both Jay Leno and David Letterman, who was also nominated as the “Best Standup Comedian” at the American Comedy Awards.
Also featured in the annual benefit are young stars from the “Stars of Tomorrow” high school vocal competition.
Show time for the November 6 fundraiser is 8 p.m. Tickets are available at $30 per person for open seating, and $40 per person for reserved table seating. Donations or ticket purchases may be made to SCMFO, 2001 Calle Frontera, San Clemente, CA 92673, or by visiting www.militaryfamilyoutreach.com. More information is available at 949.492.2537.
