SUPPORT THIS INDEPENDENT JOURNALISM
The article you’re about to read is from our reporters doing their important work — investigating, researching, and writing their stories. We want to provide informative and inspirational stories that connect you to the people, issues and opportunities within our community. Journalism requires lots of resources. Today, our business model has been interrupted by the pandemic; the vast majority of our advertisers’ businesses have been impacted. That’s why the SC Times is now turning to you for financial support. Learn more about our new Insider’s program here. Thank you.
The San Clemente-Capistrano Bay branch of American Association of University Women (AAUW) will host a special meeting on Jan. 30 to highlight the Women’s Suffrage movement and women’s right to vote, which marked its 100th anniversary last year.
The event, “Celebrate 100 Years of Women’s Right to Vote,” will be held at Ocean Hills Clubhouse from 5-7 p.m. and will feature Dr. Kimberly Salter as she shares stories and speaks about the history of women’s rights.
Admission cost for members is $10, which can be paid at the door. The event is free for guests, but reservations are required ahead of time as space is limited. To sign up, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Those who attend are encouraged to wear white. For more information, visit sccb-ca.aauw.net/general-meeting.
