Artifex Brewing Company recently raised more than $5,000 to support OC Special Spokes, a local nonprofit organization that provides adaptive bikes to children with special needs so they can improve their mobility.
The local brewery hosted an event on Wednesday, Jan. 15 at its San Clemente headquarters, where it presented a check for $5,223 that it had raised for the organization through its Fifth Anniversary Party & Chili Cook-Off Fundraiser last month.
During the presentation, Artifex Brewing also presented a brand new bike to Cru Mercuro, a 6-year-old boy from San Clemente who was born with cerebral palsy. Cru was one of five children who benefited from Artifex’s fundraiser.
