For the last three months, Mary Sondag started doing home calls for physical therapy for patients who may not be able to take themselves to the doctor or would prefer to stay at home.

Most of the patients she serves are about 65 years and older.

“I’ve been a physical therapist for more than 30 years, and I think people are just more comfortable in their homes,” Sondag said.

Sondag has emphasized her study in Parkinson’s disease as advancements in physical therapy has shown to help those who are afflicted, she said.

“People with Parkinson’s sometimes don’t tell people, and their movement gets smaller,” she said “My goal is to get them moving again.”

Sondag is certified to accept Medicare part B, outpatient care, insurance. —Eric Heinz
