Christ Lutheran Church in San Clemente will celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the church’s 1965 founding on Sunday, Nov. 8, with a “Blessing of the Animals” and a neighborhood gathering from noon to 2 p.m., preceded by a dedication and church service at 10:30 a.m. The service will be held in the sanctuary at 35522 Camino Capistrano, San Clemente, while the gathering and Blessing of the Animals at 1 p.m. by Pastor Brenda Bos will take place on the lawn of the church.
“Pet owner or not, the event is open to the community,” said Judy Franz, church council president. “We will have treats for both pets and people and really hope to meet our neighbors.”
