According to a press release sent Wednesday, the city of San Clemente opened a new online public records request portal “in an effort to make City records more easily accessible for the public.” All public records requests can be submitted through an online form available on the city’s website.
“The City of San Clemente is pleased to announce the availability of this new program which will help streamline the records request process for the public and improve efficiencies for City staff – saving time, money and resources,” Mayor Bob Baker said in a statement. “Citizens can now submit requests, monitor status and receive the resulting documents in electronic format – all through the online portal.”
Visit to check out the portal. Click on the link to “Submit an Online Request,” complete the online form, and click “submit.” Once the request has been fulfilled, staff will send an email to the requester with download instructions.
