SC Muni Men’s Club Crowns Champions

After three days of competition, the San Clemente Municipal Golf Course’s Men’s Club crowned its club champion on July 17.

The new club champion, Mark Warman, carded rounds of 68, 69 and 65 for a collective score of 202 (-14) to earn the first-place trophy. Warman led the tournament from wire-to-wire and cruised to an eight-shot victory. Casey Strohsahl finished second and Greg Schweitzer placed third.

Brendan Thomas walked away with the net club championship after posting a two-roudn score of 136 (-8). Keith Yanke and Gary Klasse finished second and third, respectively, in the net championship.

SC Coach to Hold Pole Vaulting Camp                                   

San Clemente High School track and field pole vaulting coach Brad Skovbo will be conducting a mini-camp for interested pole vaulters August 1-2. Attendees will learn conditioning concepts and jumping technique and will be given a demonstration. The camp will be held at San Clemente High School from 9:30 a.m. until noon.
