Seven different organizations came together on Friday, June 7 at the Arts Project of Orange County in San Clemente to host a Summer Youth Music Festival focused on substance abuse prevention among youth. The event was put on by Community Outreach Alliance (COA) in partnership with the Arts Project of OC, National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence—Orange County (NCADD-OC), the Orange County Health Care Agency—Alcohol and Drug Education and Prevention Team, Waymakers and the Wellness and Prevention Center.
The festival featured performances by local artists Chugs the Rapper, Ruthless Youth, and EMCY, as well as karaoke, games, arts and more. The purpose of the event was to educate young people on the risks of underage drinking and other drug use and promote positive alternatives. Learn more at communityoutreachalliance.com.
