The San Clemente High School Dance Team danced in the Glendale Tours competition held Jan 24 and 25, bringing home first place trophies in five of their six categories, including medium lyrical, medium hip hop, large lyrical, medium jazz and intermediate. The team took second in the character division. The medium lyrical piece also was awarded the coveted choreography award.

The team continues through their competition season with their next competition at Sonora High School on Feb. 7 and San Pasqual on Feb. 28. The state competition will take place on March 13 and 14, leading up to the national competition the following weekend, March 19-21, at the Anaheim Convention Center.
