On Jan. 18, The International Executive Council (IEC) of the Internet Marketing Association (IMA) hosted a lecture about entrepreneurship with stories from restauranteur Wing Lam, co-founder of Wahoo’s Fish Tacos, and San Clemente’s 12-year-old Carson Kropfl, the inventor of Locker Board, a functional skateboard that fits in compact spaces.

“It was really fun, and I got to talk to some of the top business owners in Orange County about the importance of networking,” Kropfl said. “I told my story about getting on Shark Tank and getting Richard Branson as my investor. Wing is one of the best mentors ever.”

Kropfl said he spoke about his mentorships with people at Nike and other organizations. The lecture he gave with Lam was in front of about 75 people.

Kropfl is working on securing funds for a new charity this year with Ocean Unite. He will donate $1 per skateboard sold to the organization. For more information, visit www.lockerboard.net.
