For the San Clemente Times
Bob Baker, Mayor of San Clemente, issued a proclamation declaring July 6-13, 2016, Love San Clemente Week. Love San Clemente is a grassroots coalition of local churches and San Clemente community volunteers that unite to show God’s love to San Clemente in practical ways. Love San Clemente also presented Denise Obrero, the Community Outreach Coordinator with the City of San Clemente with a special plaque on Tuesday in recognition of her efforts to develop a winning partnership between Love San Clemente and the City of San Clemente.
Each year Love San Clemente targets five areas to “love bomb.” They target senior citizens, needy families, schools, the military and San Clemente Community Projects. This year’s event will include beautification projects at Concordia Elementary School, Beach Clean Up projects with the San Clemente Watershed Task Force, maintenance projects with Gilchrest House, volunteering for Family Assistance Ministries and Family Outreach Programs at Max Berg Park, Mendocino of Talega Apartments and Camp Pendleton.
Dates for Love San Clemente are July 6-9. Love San Clemente will begin with a kick off barbecue at 6 p.m. on June 6 at Vista Hermosa Sports Park. Volunteers will meet this year’s project leaders and provide a time for registered participants to receive a free T-shirt courtesy of The Kiwanis of San Clemente.
Now in it’s fifth year, Love San Clemente gathers around 200 volunteers from a number of local churches and community groups. The San Clemente churches with participating volunteers include Heritage Christian Fellowship, Cornerstone Community Church, San Clemente Presbyterian, Southcoast Church International, The Shoreline Church and Calvary Chapel San Clemente. Participants will be wearing a Love San Clemente T-shirt with a logo designed by Madison Davis, the women’s fashion designer for Stance Socks. Her designs have been featured in the Sports Illustrated, Free People and Novella Royalle. To register for a project visit www.lovesanclemente.com.

Make that Bob Baker…. Nothing but lies come out of his mouth. Sorry but true…
Ok, so thats a no on you showing up for the BBQ? Awesome.
LOL
This is post is about neighbors helping fellow residents with a service project.
Politicizing it and then levying a personal attack is not cool. Worse when it is unprovoked and unsubstantiated.
Then you proceed to link it to your real estate business page. No idea why anyone would want this kind of negativity associated with their business.
Surprised the SC Times would publish a personal attack.
