Medical instrument company Boston Scientific has informed the city of San Clemente that it will be closing its Cameron Health facility at 229 Avenida Fabricante. A formal letter to the city was sent Wednesday, April 30.
The plan is located at the extreme eastern side of San Clemente, close to Camp Pendleton.
The move is part of a larger consolidation of facilities for the company. The company employs 153 people in San Clemente. Employees began losing positions last November. The final closure of the plant should come sometime this summer. The space is 37,728 square feet.
