Update (11 a.m., Nov. 13): OCSD deputies said they have sent out personnel to comb the San Clemente area from the coastal region to areas around Avenida Pico. Sheriff’s deputies said Stevens was dropped off by an Uber driver the night of Friday, Nov. 6 at the 7-Eleven in North Beach in San Clemenete. Family members said he had been with some people during the night, but because he may have been intoxicated at the time he was unable to remember where he lived. His car was still at his place of employment on the following Monday, Nov. 9 and no one answered the door when OCSD conducted a welfare check on Tuesday, Nov. 10. Stevens has lived in San Clemente for about two months, family members said.
