Noll Surfboards, in San Clemente, is set to host an art opening event featuring the work of San Juan Capistrano-based artist Trevor Mezak and surfboard shaper Jed Noll on September 19.
Proceeds from a live art auction will benefit the Surfing Industry Manufacturers Association Humanitarian Fund’s “Stokes Me” campaign.
“We are honored to have the Noll family and brand supporting such an important cause,” said Ross Garrett, president of the SIMA Humanitarian Fund in a statement.
The item to be auctioned, a surfboard, is a collaborative piece between shaper Jed Noll and Mezak. The final touches will be painted by Mezak during hour one of the event.
“Stokes Me supports good charities like Surfers Healing, which I feel strongly about, and I am pleased to be a part of this benefit,” said Mezak. “Collaborating with Jed and the Noll family is icing on the cake.”
More examples of Mezak’s art, sea life collection, figurative work, surf art and a collection of Disney Fine Art pieces will also be on display.
The event will take place at Noll Surfboards, 1709 N. El Camino Real in San Clemente from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Food, beverages and musical entertainment will be provided.
