San Clemente resident, Randy Sanders, passed away on November 7, 2016 at the age of 71. Originally from Gary, IN, Randy attended Indiana University before being drafted into the US Army, achieving rank of Captain. He and his first wife, Janet McGowan, had 4 daughters together. When his work as an insurance executive led to a transfer to Southern California in 1982, Randy and Janet chose San Clemente as the place to raise their family.
In 1990, Randy married his wife of 26 years, Paula Dismuke, and had a son, Ryne. Randy lived a full life and he loved all of his children immensely. He was also blessed with 8 grandchildren and 2 step grandchildren. But his greatest passion was his beloved Chicago Cubs. He was happy to be able to witness them win the World Series.
Randy is survived by his wife Paula, mother Velva, brother Duane(L’Nora), his children Tonya(Brian), Jennifer(Mike), Aimee(Dennis), Katie(John) and Ryne, his grandchildren (Kendall, Makenna, Kayla, Jackson, Nathan, Olivia, Andre, Lukas, Alex, Jordan), and so many others that loved him.
Per Randy’s request, there will be no service. He just simply asked everyone to light a candle and think of him…and cheer for the Cubs.
