Best known for: Can you guess? …The Baseball Swordfish.

Located in the heart of Laguna Beach, Cafe Zoolu attracts locals year-round and tourists who are looking for a cozy place to enjoy fresh seafood. The cafe’s most popular dish, the Baseball Swordfish, gets its name from the notion that “it is the thickest slab of swordfish sold in restaurants and also one of the tastiest,” says Michael Leech, co-owner and chef. Food, which is described as “quasi-Polynesian,” also includes an array of fish specials from the Burrito Pescado to the Hawaiian “Yoko” Ono.Also, most people don’t know there is more to the quaint front-dining area-there is an extra dining room located toward the back of the restaurant that provides more seating space.
