Tucked away in its strip-mall facade, lies a not-so-well-kept secret for great Chinese food in San Clemente: China Well. And the hardest thing for patrons leaving China Well to decide was what they’d recommend to a newbie. Everyone interviewed had been ordering the same favorite dish for so many years and didn’t even read the menu anymore to know what else was available. Highly recommended dishes include Kung Pao Shrimp, Mandarin Egg Rolls and dried orange-peeled marinated Well’s Beef. With an unprecedented perfect rating and extraordinary praise, both for the food and the service, China Well features daily lunch specials and three differently priced family-style dinners.
