SCSQUARED halfSan Clemente is celebrating Earth Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 23, at Parque Del Mar in the Pier Bowl near the San Clemente Pier. The community is invited to attend the free event hosted by the San Clemente Watershed Task Force and supported by the City of San Clemente. The celebration will include educational displays, vendors, artists, demonstrations, live music, an awards ceremony and giveaways.

Those who are interested in participating in an early morning beach cleanup can meet at the Pier at 8:30 a.m. Cleanup supplies will be given to all participants to help collect the trash and debris that has accumulated on the beach. Beach cleanups are a great way for families, students, service groups and neighbors to join together to care for our fragile marine environment and have fun in the process.
