The San Clemente High School dance team is well underway with their 2016 competition season.  During their fifth competition at Santiago High School in Corona on Feb. 13, the team competed in five dances in the styles of lyrical, contemporary and hip-hop. SCHS faced rivals from 15 high schools in Southern California. The team placed first in Large Lyrical and Medium Hip Hop, second in Large Dance and took home two fifth places in Medium Lyrical and Medium Dance. The SCHS Dance Team has three more regional competitions before they attend CADTD States on March 11-12 and USA Nationals on March 17-19.

Dancers interested in trying out for the 2016-2017 team are encouraged to attend an informational meeting in the dance team room at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 23. Dancers and the parents need to plan on attending. Email for more information or go to
