The San Clemente girls cross country team placed 11th in Division 1 at the CIF-SS Finals at Mt. SAC on Nov. 29.
The Tritons were led by senior Kelsey Carroll, who looped the track in 18:07 to finish 12th overall in Division 1. Senior Katie Carroll (54th), Isabella Alston (80th), Kristen Laurent (94th), Brooke Eisele (95th), Mckenna Brownell (97th) and Nicole Anderson (102nd) rounded out the group of Tritons that competed.
Kelsey Carroll will advance to compete in the CIF State Championships in Fresno on Nov. 29 as an individual. It will be the fourth time in her high school career that Carroll will compete at the state event. Carroll has three individual first-place finishes on the year.
