Two San Clemente Surfers Advance to Round 3 at Hurley Pro

Kolohe Andino and Patrick Gudauskas oust Round 2 opponents, advance on in the competition

The first heat of Day 2 at the Hurley Pro had San Clemente locals rejoicing Monday as Patrick Gudauskas commanded his Round 2 heat, taking out Australian Adrian “Ace” Buchan 13.10 to 9.40 to advance to Round 3.

The closing heat of the day was also a victory for San Clemente as Kolohe Andino  took the win in his Round 2 match-up with Matt Wilkinson of Australia, 16.33 to 12.13 and also moved on to the next round.

Round 3 action will begin Tuesday, conditions permitting. First call will be made at 7:30 a.m.

The Hurley Pro waiting period runs through September 21.
