Please join us in formally welcoming Emily Rasmussen to Picket Fence Media as The Capistrano Dispatch Editor. Emily joins the newsroom having previously worked as a community news reporter for the OC Register. She covered city council meetings as well as developed personal interest stories for the South Orange County communities of Laguna Woods, Laguna Niguel, Aliso Viejo and Laguna Woods.
Emily was also a news editor at The Edge Long Beach, a weekly newspaper where she broadened her topic coverage to features and entertainment as well as developed digital journalism packages with multimedia, video and social media.
Hailing originally from Long Beach, Emily is looking forward to getting to know the passionate residents, history buffs, government officials and business owners of San Juan Capistrano for Picket Fence Media readers.
