After a week of strong surfing, San Clemente’s Bella Kenworthy just landed in fourth place at the BTMI Live Like Zander Junior Pro. The finals appearance in the Caribbean proved critical, as she has now won her first-ever North American Women’s Pro Junior title. Not only that, with a quarterfinal appearance in the WSL Qualifying Series BTMI Barbados Surf Pro, Kenworthy has finished the 2023-24 North American Women's Qualifying Series ranked fourth.

Kenworthy has been on fire all season. Before her stint in the Caribbean, the prodigious regular-footer was in Florida, where she swept the Ron Jon Roxy Pro and the Ron Jon Roxy Pro Junior in a tour of de force in Cocoa Beach.

“It’s so cool to get back-to-back wins; I didn’t expect it and went into this competition wanting to get double wins again, so I’m very excited,” Kenworthy said after her wins in Florida. “This week definitely built up my confidence for Barbados, and hopefully I can continue my rhythm heading there. I honestly have no idea what clicked for me here. I guess all the NSSA events I did growing up, so maybe I’m just good at these grindy conditions.”

Congrats to Bella on the huge results this year, and good luck to all the rising stars in the area as the new season kicks off next month in Huntington Beach.
